Review: EDC 2008

.. Words cannot describe the awesomeness that was EDC last night. The phenomenal usage of technology, sound, lights to create a perfect atmosphere for rave music. It was absolutely beautiful.

The artists werent even staying in any specific genre, they were doing whatever the fuck they wanted to and it was OMFG awesome.

This has to be the best party ive ever been to in America. By far.

The lines were ridiculously long, I couldn't take a full breath of air into my lungs for about an hour, which made me dizzy. It took us between 2 and 3 hours to get IN to the party. I was sweating in the line and the girl next to me smelled like raw onions. I lost liz which freaked me out cause she's super tiny and i was hoping she didnt get crushed.
I had a blast running around with Rocky, Liz, Cali, and Vago. It was fantastic ^.^

The music was good but I really didnt get to hear any breaks so that was kinda ...suck

We only saw two people wearing UFOs besides me and vago, so that was pretty odd to us. People seemed to freak out in a good way about our pants... maybe they never heard of the internet? 0.o


The mirror house was pretty cool, we didnt get to ride the swings because people in the line were pushing the gate and they'd only let people on the swings until the line pushed then they'd stop letting people on and run the ride (5 people ?!) I dunno, seems a little ridiculous..

Definitely not the best EDC line up I've seen, but the party was still way better than ultra and any other party. I think my favorite edc was last year, music wise, but the people I was hanging out with this year were the best. The vibe was good and there was no drama or weirdness.

The art this year seemed a little cooler except they didnt have the seahorses. The big square of lights that lit up independently, in waves, and in different colors was just beautiful.

And this year they had these cool igloo looking "chill" domes, where at first they played down tempo, but then later it wasnt chill enough for us.
I truly love my friends and I'm happy we're so near (except the indy kids but they can fly ^.^)

there was a circular one @ nocturnal. they made it look like rainbow explosions, little stick figure people running around it, sparkling tornado rainbows... it was one of the most surreal looking things I had ever seen irl.

Ok... I've been to a few really big events and I have to say that I underestimated this one. I haven't had this much fun in a long time.
