tonight marks the 1 year aniversary of this site's operation . thanks to you guys , we're bringing in enough money that i think we'll be able to upgrade to a dedicated server . hopefully this will mean the end of the sporadically slow page load times we've been experiencing lately . it also spells a number of possibilities that i've been considering , including the ability to mask access which will allow users to connect , even if their workplace policies block sites with this kind of content .
i've decided to switch to another company to provide our system hosting . the previous company always made me wait on hold for too long , and then made me talk to indians , and i hate talking to indians .
anyway , i'm backing up files and database records starting now . i'll continue to do this until later tonight so that we don't miss any of the most recent posts during the changeover . you may notice that this causes the server to run slow during this time , or you may not notice anything at all .
if for some reason there is a lapse in acceessibility while thsi change is taking place , please be patient and check back from time to time . also be sure to tell anyone else tha tmight not know what's going on .
thank you , everyone , for a year of support . i am happy to have you all in the crew . you guys are all pretty good shits , except william . he sucks .
i'm going to go get something to eat and then get back to work .
i'll catch you on the flipside .
