Here's a recap of saturday night/sunday morning and sunday afternoon....
DT WAS FUCKING AMAZING!
I got to pacha around 11pm and it was already looking crowded in there.
-2am: Almost impossible to find somebody, so if you lost your friends like I did for like 2 hours, you had no choice but to socialize with other people.
-Sunrise: Still packed. He played Suns rising up by Deux, couldn't have been a better time to play that tune. SICK!
- Somewhere around 9 or 10 in the morning Tracey K performed the Cure and The cause. She's a pretty good singer, sounded just like the record.
but before that, he played the Ame remix of Tarzan by Roy Ayers, I went Ape shit. That definitely made my day, being that it's one of my favorite tracks.
They were going to shut it down at noon but Danny just kept bangin beats out.
At 12:30 he stopped the music for a moment and said:
"You know... The flier said I was supossed to stop at Noon, but my manager bought me some food and something to drink and you know what?"
*Press play on cd deck*
the track he puts on goes "I aint gonna stop..." which was a crazy tech-house bomb.
I left like around 1:30 pm and the party was still going on. I kinda wanted to close it out, but I guess I didn't have much party left in me.
THAT'S 14.5 HOURS!
WOW!!! <~~~~~~ One word to describe the party.
I AM SHOT, I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD IT IN ME TO STAY UNTIL THAT TIME. I WAS GOING TO CLOSE IT OUT AND THEN GO TO CALDERONE, BUT I WAS ALREADY UP FOR MORE THAN 24 HOURS, SO I SAID FUCK IT AND JUST WENT HOME.
My friend told me that Danny kept on going until 3pm and that Calderone only went on until 1pm . DT IS A MADMAN!
SEPTEMBER THE 30TH!
CARL COX AND DANNY TENAGLIA @ PACHA!
DIRT BOMBS ALL NIGHT!

Was this in NY? I wish I would have known that DT was playing...I would have driven to see him put 14.5 hrs down...he was the only reason I went to Ultra 2005.
I will have to await another time...sigh...

Most of the attitude posted in the forums is fake. It's easy to talk shit when you know no one can punch you through a computer screen. Try doing it in person.

Yes indeed this was @ Pacha,NYC... Don't worry though, DT will be back next month with Carl Cox... I think he's gonna be a monthly resident @ Pacha. For updates you should check out, www.pacahnyc.com

is this one of those places with a dress code that caters to hipsters who, for the most part, dont give a shit about the music?

Well, I personally wouldn't go dressed like a bum to one of NYC's best nightclubs... There's no dress code. but you at least have to be presentable at the door. Once you get in it's a different story...

I'd like to add it's changed a lot since the soundfactory... The days of the huge dancefloors are over... There are a lot of tables and booths at that place now.
