Noise Floor Crew

Starting work in the spring of 2008, Local Hero, Lady Foursquare, Angel Alanis and additional contributors including 12th Planet (of Cartel, Renegade Hardware, Tech Itch) and more released a remix album of Portishead's "Third" called, "Third Floor: Portishead’s ‘Third’ Reimagined by Noise Floor Crew." Media such as New York Magazine (who heralded NFC in the same breath as Outkast, Three-Six Mafia and My Morning Jacket), Big Shot Magazine, Raveline, Iheartcomix, Urbnet, Confront Magazine and others praised the album roundly. The singles peppered dozens of prominent radio shows, including Josh Wink's BBC Radio-1 Essential Mix and Dave Clarke's White Noise Radio. Shortly after the departure of Alanis, Noise Floor Crew, now comprised of Foursquare and Local Hero completed a remix for Justice ("Stress or Justice") which was re-edited by Boys Noize. Noise Floor Crew now joins the production team for DJ Pierre's full length album, due in 2010. In various projects, crew members have produced remixes for the aforementioned Justice, Simian Mobile Disco, Dizee Rascal, Lauren Flax w/ Sia, Greenskeepers, DJ Donna Summer and many others. In 2010, they will continue to release remixes and originals on labels such Dust Traxx, Abracadabra, Uni.form, Play Me Records and Nightshifters.
