Anyone else been retardedly busy at work?  Iv been inundated with new applications and I think that all these companies are coming into the realization that all the projekts they put on hold a year ago are now moving forward again.

This coupled with the company downsizing and hour-cutting for the support staff has put me months behind.  Who thinks this bubble is about to burst again?  Or, are we really coming into a state of recovery?

I'm ridiculously busy at work, but not because of the economy... most people say that cell phone providers are a pretty much recession proof anyway as people would rather go without almost anything before going without food.

My portfolio is up 31% on the year so far though, so that can't be a terrible sign right?

Our company is booming

I think it might actually be due to the recession since people don't want to spend the money to buy brand new phones and would rather use insurance.

CA is shit right now. The sales tax is 9.95% in LA area. Unemployment is very bad too. The majority of my friends have lost their jobs. Im one of the fortunate ones.

We have sold 1.25 million dollars in business in the last four weeks. A 'good year' for us is 1.5m...

Shit is going to hit the fan...

pfft... I did a single job back when I worked for the Granite Centre that was 1.2 million...  and I was in charge of design (including all construction drawings) estimating, and purchasing the entire job.

If you decide to hire out any of the design work to freelance contractors, hit me up :p

Biggest project size we do is around 300k.

What does "Granite Centre" do?

Sounds like they do granite work for big buildings with a project size of 1.2 mil.

What % of that is profit? Do you know? Sounds like you made someone rich.

We only use APPX $5,000 of granite per job, just for counter tops.
